A comparative study of new religious movements of the Twentieth Century including Japanese New Religions, selected cult phenomena, 'New Age' and spiritual movements, and new religions from south Asia and the Middle East. Some attention to North American quasi-religious movements such as occult spiritualism, religiously inspired political movements, and para-military religious movements.
